Ed is also Professor of Psychiatry in the University of Cambridge and works half-time at GlaxoSmithKline as head of the Clinical Unit in Cambridge (CUC). His main research interest is using brain imaging to improve understanding and treatment of mental health issues.

Professor Peter Jones, Honorary consultant with CPFT  
Professor of Psychiatry at Cambridge University.  Professor Jones is an international expert on early intervention into psychosis and founded most research into the subject. CPFT’s CAMEO service treats patients with psychosis. Peter is also Deputy Head of the School of Clinical Medicine at the Cambridge University.

Cathy is a consultant psychiatrist and Clinical Director, Specialist Services & Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist at Liaison Psychiatry at Addenbrooke’s, part of Cambridge University Hospitals.

Professor John O’Brien
John is the Foundation Professor of Old Age Psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge. He is also the national NIHR lead for dementia

Rudolf Cardinal, Honorary consultant psychiatrist at CPFT. 
Rudolf is a University Lecturer in Clinical Informatics at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Cambridge.

Ben Underwood, CPFT Clinical Director, Older People’s and Adult Community Directorate 
Ben is the Windsor Research Unit; Division 4 Clinical Lead for CRN Eastern (mental health, dementia and neurology) & Consultant Psychiatrist at CPFT.  Ben is Clinical Director for the Windsor Research Unit, an outpatient clinical research unit and the base of the Cambridge Dementias and Neurodegeneration Research Network (DeNDRoN), part of the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network (CRN). Stephen is the Senior R&D Manager for CPFT and leads on the Joint Research Office with Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Rachel Kyd & Mary-Beth Sherwood, Research Governance Coordinators
Mary-Beth and Rachel oversee research governance within the Trust and process applications from researchers seeking Trust R&D approval. They provide training, peer review, advice and practical support to researchers about the research approval process.  Rachel and Jane are the first points  of contact for researchers and commercial companies interested in conducting research within the Trust.

Tracy Assari, R&D Governance Lead for CPFT and Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Tracy is the point of contact for honorary research contracts with the Trust and can be contacted by external researchers applying for or renewing their honorary contracts including letters of access.  Tracy can also provide advice and support to researchers about ethics and R&D approval processes.
